“And now I am bound by the Spirit to go to Jerusalem. I don’t know what awaits me, except that the Holy Spirit tells me in city after city that jail and suffering lie ahead. But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.”
Acts of the Apostles 20:22-24 (NLT)
The only thing Paul was certain at this point of his life and ministry was being jailed in every city and suffering. Holy Spirit told him that. Instead of being scared and discouraged, Paul claims "My life is worth nothing unless..."
Our lives are worth nothing. Unless we use it to tell others that Jesus died for them and rose again.
I pray that God will pour out His Spirit to wake us up inside to feel that truth in our hearts. Do you feel empty? Do you feel like your life is not worth anything? You're partially right. It is worthless! UNLESS we live for Jesus who died and rose for us.
Tell this truth to yourself. Your family. Not only tell others the Good News but serve them. Serve your father. Your sister. Unbelievers at church. Struggling Christian brothers and sister.
That's the purpose of our praise and worship team. And being the church. To proclaim AND live like our lives are worth nothing unless we tell others about Jesus, not just with words but also with actions by serving them
Keep moving forward. Becoming men of God.
